With rapid development of construction and demand for 2008 Beijing Olympics and the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, the Chinese fabricating glass demand has been increased. Expected that it would also keep increasing in future, NBS Corp. (CEO: Toshiaki Kato, hereinafter [NBS]) established a local corporation in Wujiang City, Jiangsu Province, People’s Republic of China (hereinafter [China]) and decided to build a functional glass general factory. As a Japanese functional glass manufacturer corporation, our firm is the first to enter China to build a professional general factory. Besides, in Jiangsu Province it is the first single-venture Japanese enterprise of glass fabricating, and it occupies the preceding position in all over China.
For the time being, we will manufacture industrial machinery and materials glass for only the Japan home market. For the China domestic, we display business activities to expand business in scale using the Shanghai office as a business base, and focusing on the total functional glass.
The early investment amount relates to the latest China production foothold establishment is 2 billion Japanese dollars.
